The Isle of Skye has an outstanding larder and our chefs throughout the island use the best produce available from the land and the sea. The Highlands and Islands are home to some of the world’s finest suppliers of meat, game, fish and shellfish, vegetables and herbs.

Some restaurants close between October and April each year.
We highly recommend making reservations in advance.
There are no delivery company’s operating on Skye.
Scorrybreac Restaurant – set in a beautiful location above the harbour. Modern Scottish cuisine, with French influences. Call 01478 612 069
Gasta Portree – Pizzeria and Bar 5 Minutes Walk from An-Airidh ( about a min drive ) Gasta is open 9 am – 9pm ( with last food orders at 8pm ) offering Handmade, Neapolitan style pizza’s, you can also order online and collect!
Sea Breezes Restaurant – The restaurant is extremely busy, and its booking policy can vary. While they sometimes accept reservations by phone 01478 612016, at peak times they operate on a walk-in only basis.
If you wish to book, you may need to try calling multiple times. However, please be aware that they may advise you that only walk-ins are available.
At present, there is no online booking system or email contact.
Cuchullin Restaurant Portree – Sister restaurant of Sea Breezes located on the main square of Portree, this restaurant is exceptionally busy and often has a queues outside the door at 5pm for dinner at busy times of the year, Call : 01478 612750
The View – Situated looking over the Portree Bay area and Cuillin mountain range, this restaurant at the Cuillin Hills Hotel offers a friendly and relaxed dining experience – Note the restaurant prioritises residents , Call 01478 612003
Antlers Bar and Grill – Is a lively Bar on Somerled Square, great pub food but as with everywhere can be really busy. Call : 01478612511
Dulse & Brose – Situated on Bosvile Terrace, Dulse and Brose has provided years of continuous good service and good food, next door is the Merchant Bar, ( When the restaurant is busy we have noticed people are being served in the bar which is a good option ) and its great for a drink before or after dinner. An Talla Mòr Eighteen Twenty – Scottish pub and beer garden close to the pier, provides typical pub food – at time of writing no online booking or telephone number available.
Granary Restaurant and Coffeeshop which is set in the heart of Portree, perfect for a quick coffee, snack or home baking or something more substantial 01478 612873
Tongadale Hotel – Offers quality and big portions for a great price, at this traditional Highland bar/restaurant located on Wentworth Street Call 01478 612115
The Tianavaig View & The Well Plaid Restaurant. – Two restaurants in the royal hotel offering a selection of scottish fayre. Call 01478 612525
Tomita Sushi’s a great industrial themed sit-in or take-away option, extensive menu with great quality and friendly service – you can pre order via Facebook Messenger, or call 01478 613241 to book a table or order take-away.
Fat Panda Takeaway – A local favourite strictly takeaway only, open 6 days a week it can be very busy so you can pre-order earlier in the day to avoid disappointment also you can click the link to order online for pick up or Call 01478 613210
Taste of India – located on the first floor of the Armadale House, above two shops overlooking the harbour. Dinner is available from 5pm – 11 pm (All year) Call : 01478 611706
The Chippy– Located just of of wentworth street in Portree on Bank Street. Call 01478 612111
Caberfeidh Bar & Restaurant – Formerly the very stylish carroy house, new management have taken over for 2023 and this year it is restricted to offer cocktails and pizza.
Red Brick Cafe @ Jans – A hidden gem widely used by locals set inside a DIY shop. Tasty, uncomplicated and healthy food is always freshly made on the premises.

Book in Advance – Skye is busy all year round and finding a table can be a struggle without a reservation.

Visit Cuillin Brewery (Sligachan). A uniquely located Craft Brewery, nestling between formidable mountains and surrounded by wild moorland.
